Boarding Life at Sainte Victoire International School

The boarding house at Sainte Victoire International School welcomes middle and high school students who wish to thrive in a more structured environment or whose families live at a distance (in France or abroad). Whether they are 5-day or 7-day residents, boarding students benefit from enhanced support and an enriching community living experience.
Living and learning on campus
Student boarding house directly on campus
The Sainte Victoire International School boarding house is located directly on campus, just steps from the main school entrance and classrooms. Like the school itself, it enjoys a unique natural setting facing the majestic Sainte-Victoire mountain, a true landmark of Provence.
The boarding house features 30 rooms, each accommodating three students. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable, bright and fully equipped. Each room includes a kitchenette, two bathrooms and a private terrace that allows boarding students to appreciate the exceptional views surrounding the campus.

A supportive and structured environment
SVIS boarding students benefit from specific supervision and structured support to ensure their personal development and academic success. Our educational team is available to support students throughout their daily lives and pays close attention to their wellbeing. New boarders are warmly welcomed and guided by more experienced students as they settle in.
Daily schedules include supervised study time. Students are offered two dedicated hours each evening to complete homework or deepen their understanding of specific subjects. They may also return to the school building to study after dinner if they wish. This is a popular choice during examination periods, whether for IGCSE or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma preparation.
A full extracurricular programme for boarders
Some middle school and high school students return to their families at weekends when they live nearby. Others, whose families live further away or abroad, generally stay on campus until the school holidays.
To provide a stimulating living environment for all student profiles, SVIS offers a wide range of extracurricular activities. These activities fill weekday evenings and weekends, ensuring all boarders are engaged! They have access to:
- On-campus sports facilities: football pitch, basketball courts, tennis courts, golf course, and more
- The opportunity to join two dedicated sports programmes offered on campus: the SVIS Golf Academy and SVIS Tennis School
- Various clubs and workshops, adapted to individual interests: journalism club, chess club, coding club, running club, yearbook, astronomy, Model United Nations (MUN), and more.
These extracurricular activities are available to all SVIS students, both boarders and day students alike.
From day one our children felt welcome and part of the community.

Active and enriching weekends for boarding students
For boarding students who remain on campus at weekends, SVIS offers a rich programme of activities throughout the school year. Outings are planned every single Saturday. Participation is of course at the student's discretion.
Combining discovery, recreation and adventure, these outings provide opportunities to enjoy wonderful experiences, strengthen bonds between students and forge lasting friendships. This enables them to find the perfect balance between school life and personal life while discovering the region.
Our annual programme includes:
- Trips to Aix-en-Provence
- Tree-climbing and rock-climbing sessions
- Museum visits and cultural exhibitions
- Trampoline sessions at Salto Park
- Kayaking excursions
- Laser tag and paintball games
- Beach days
- Bowling evenings
- Hiking on Sainte-Victoire trails
- Career discovery workshops
- And more
An International boarding environment that feels like home

A multicultural boarding community
The SVIS boarding house welcomes a diverse community of students, with a majority coming from international families. It hosts over 15 nationalities among students who share their daily lives in both French and English, from morning to evening.

A secure and supportive living environment
The wellbeing of our boarders is our top priority. They live in a secure and reassuring environment just steps from the school. Access to the residence is strictly controlled, and 24/7 supervision ensures the safety of all students. The presence of educational staff on site ensures timely support whenever needed.

Visits and boarding house guidelines
Visits from family and friends are welcome at any time, as they contribute to students’ wellbeing and overall stability. With parental permission, boarders may also go out independently to explore the region. The boarding house guidelines are designed to foster both autonomy and safety.
