Growing and thriving through extracurricular activities

Extracurricular activities form an integral part of the educational programme at SVIS. Open to all students, they provide opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom in a stimulating and supportive environment.
Extending learning beyond the classroom
SVIS offers a comprehensive extracurricular programme designed to enrich each student’s educational journey. Activities are open to all and cover a wide range of interests, including sports, the arts, culture and social engagement. This approach fosters a healthy balance between academic success and personal development for students across primary school, middle school and high school.
A complete and engaging extracurricular programme
Extracurricular activities provide opportunities to explore new interests, take on responsibilities and collaborate with students from different year groups.
Aligned with our educational philosophy, they play a meaningful role in each student’s overall growth and well-being.

On-campus sports facilities
The SVIS campus includes high-quality sports facilities that support a wide range of physical activities. Students have access to:
- A football pitch
- A basketball court
- Two tennis courts
- An 18-hole golf course
These facilities enable regular, supervised practice. Sainte Victoire International School has also developed two additional programmes on campus: a Golf Academy and a Tennis School.
These dedicated pathways offer motivated students the chance to pursue advanced training outside of their regular physical education schedule.

Clubs and workshops for every interest
Beyond sports, SVIS offers a varied selection of clubs and workshops designed to appeal to students of all ages and interests, such as:
- Journalism Club
- Chess Club
- Football
- Coding Club
- Astronomy
- Year Book
- Running Club
- Touch rugby
- Model United Nations (MUN)
- And more
This variety gives each student the chance to get involved in line with their passions, while developing valuable skills that support both academic progress and personal growth.
A dedicated programme for boarding students
Boarding students benefit from specific programming that structures their free time during evenings and weekends. This ensures a healthy balance between study time, shared activities and relaxation.
The programme is adapted to meet the needs of all boarders, whether they stay on campus five or seven days a week. For students who remain at school over the weekend, SVIS organises a new activity every Saturday to encourage engagement and wellbeing in a healthy environment.

The school evidently provides a safe, nurturing and happy space to ensure the children can be themselves, are comfortable and well looked after. What we also appreciate is the care and almost family environment that the school provides our children.

Active collaboration between teachers and students
Most extracurricular activities at SVIS are led by members of the teaching team. Some are also initiated and run by students, particularly older students who contribute to school life on a voluntary basis.
This student involvement in the school's community life aligns with the requirements of the International Baccalaureate programme. The time students dedicate to extracurricular engagement is formally recognised as part of their academic journey and is essential to earning their IB diploma.
Each year, all students are invited to join one or more activities, with the option to change their selection each term depending on their interests and availability.
