Travel as a path to learning and growthTravel plays a key role in our students’ academic journey. Sainte Victoire International School organizes several discovery, cultural, and humanitarian trips each year for students in primary, middle, and high school. These experiences are a valuable part of their education, sparking curiosity, encouraging personal growth, and helping them engage with the world around them.

Discovering Provence in Primary School
For children in primary school, travel begins close to home. Sainte Victoire International School offers gentle travel experiences through educational outings and short regional trips. Set in the heart of Provence, these journeys introduce students aged 6 to 11 to iconic sites such as the Gorges du Verdon, the Mediterranean coast, and other natural landmarks.
These first explorations help students connect with their local environment, spark their curiosity, and discover the rich cultural heritage that surrounds them. A meaningful first step in learning through exploration!
Exploring Europe in Middle School
Each year, our middle school students take part in a "Week Without Walls". During this week, students travel across Europe to immerse themselves in new cultures and put their language skills into practice. In recent years, students have had the opportunity to:
- Explore Portugal, combining outdoor adventures with cultural experiences
- Visit Italy, discovering historic cities such as Rome and Naples
- Discover Berlin and its unique place in European history
These trips play a valuable role in personal development, helping students build confidence, adaptability, and openness to others, all while creating unforgettable memories with classmates. For those who remain on campus, a dedicated program of enriching activities ensures every student enjoys a meaningful experience.

Educational and humanitarian travel in High School
At Sainte Victoire International School, educational travel takes on a deeper meaning. Through unique educational, cultural, and humanitarian experiences, the school supports students in developing as future global citizens.
Two types of programs are offered during the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum:
- Humanitarian trips, where students engage directly in community service initiatives. These projects raise awareness of major social and environmental challenges while fostering empathy, responsibility, and civic engagement.
- Model United Nations conferences, held annually at international locations (including London, in partnership with Royal Russell School) as well as on the SVIS campus. These conferences provide opportunities for high school students to debate significant societal issues, refine their critical thinking skills, and collaborate with peers from around the world.
These distinctive international experiences enable students to embrace other cultures, advocate for important causes, and develop their civic consciousness.
A hands-on approach to learning
Travel is at the heart of Sainte Victoire International School's educational approach. Each year, our trips are carefully selected to complement academic learning, foster student independence, and nurture their well-being and global awareness. Students learn through alternative methods: experiential learning, cultural immersion, and active discovery.
The school provides a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel cared for and secure. We have appreciated the strong sense of community and the emphasis on values and wellbeing which fosters a sense of respect and belonging among students.
